11G OCM Patch OEM (3)

Hopefully, the problem encountered in 11G OCM Patch OEM (1) has been fixed after I Setup DNS on gridctrl.

Restart the Configuration

To restart the configuration, I used the same commands as before:

export PERL5LIB=/opt/oracle/app/oms10g/perl/lib/5.6.1
/opt/oracle/app/oms10g/perl/bin/perl /opt/oracle/app/oms10g/sysman/install/ConfigureGC.pl /opt/oracle/app

Unfortunately, this failed at a different spot now:

Base Directory: /opt/oracle/app
No file exists. Can't rename

 Starting ito execute Configuration Assistants:

Running the configuration assistants using the following command:
/opt/oracle/app/oms10g/oui/bin/runConfig.sh INV_PTR_LOC=/opt/oracle/app/oms10g/oraInst.loc ORACLE_HOME=/opt/oracle/app/oms10g ACTION=configure MODE=perform COMPONENT_XML={encap_oms.1_0_0_0_0.xml} RESPONSE_FILE=/opt/oracle/app/agent10g/responsefile
perform - mode is starting for action: configure

perform - mode finished for action: configure

You can see the log file: /opt/oracle/app/oms10g/cfgtoollogs/oui/configActions2009-12-28_04-00-41-PM.log

Configuration Assistants failed with errors. Please check the above log.
For more details also check /opt/oracle/app/oms10g/cfgtoollogs/cfgfw/CfmLogger_<LATEST_TIME_STAMP>.log

/opt/oracle/app/oms10g/cfgtoollogs/cfgfw/CfmLogger_2009-12-28_04-00-41-PM.log shows the problem as:

Looks like I set the Oracle RDBMS incorrectly: partitioning is not enabled.

This is getting frustrating.
