Have a problem in starting Oracle Cloud Control 12c on GRIDCTRL.

I get the following:

Did a My Oracle Support search on the highlighted text. Found EM 12c Emctl Start Oms Fails With Error Oracle Management Server is Down [ID 1394880.1]. The document refers to the file /opt/oracle/app/OracleHomes/oms12c/gc_inst/user_projects/domains/GCDomain/servers/EMGC_OMS1/logs/EMGC_OMS1.out:

The Oracle Net Listener and repository database instance were both down. Started them both. But I still had the same problem. Had to shutdown and restart everything:

  1. REPOS
  2. LISTENER
  3. OMS

I will have to fix the automatic startup of these.

  1. I had exactly the same errors in EMGC_OMS1.out file:

    ….
    weblogic.jdbc.extensions.ConnectionDeadSQLException: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceDeadException: 0:weblogic.common.ResourceException:
    Could not create pool connection. The DBMS driver exception was: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection

    After running the steps in the above OS note I was still not able to start OMS properly

    So I have checked my listener.ora file:

    # listener.ora Network Configuration File: /u01/app/oracle/product/oemdb/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/network/admin/listener.ora
    # Generated by Oracle configuration tools.

    #SID_LIST_LISTENER =
    # (SID_LIST =
    # (SID_DESC =
    # (SID_NAME = orcl)
    # (ORACLE_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/product/oemdb/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1)
    # )
    # )

    LISTENER =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC1522))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = fnt1fmw010)(PORT = 1522))
    )
    )

    ADR_BASE_LISTENER = /u01/app/oracle/product/oemdb

    and made the following changes:

    # listener.ora Network Configuration File: /u01/app/oracle/product/oemdb/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/network/admin/listener.ora
    # Generated by Oracle configuration tools.

    SID_LIST_LISTENER =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = orcl)
    (SID_NAME = orcl)
    (ORACLE_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/product/oemdb/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1)
    )
    )

    #LISTENER =
    # (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    # (DESCRIPTION =
    # (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC1522))
    # (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = fnt1fmw010.syncreon.local)(PORT = 1522))
    # )
    # )

    LISTENER_FNTDBQA =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = fnt1fmw010.syncreon.local)(PORT = 1522))
    )

    ADR_BASE_LISTENER = /u01/app/oracle/product/oemdb

    After restarting listener, DB and OMS I was able to start OEM console

    Regards
